Biography
Laura received the BSc degree “cum laude” in Chemical Engineering in 2012 from University of Naples Federico II (Italy), and the MSc degree “cum laude” in Chemical Engineering in 2014 from the same university with a final project in the field of Renewable Energy. She completed her PhD program in Industrial Product and Process Engineering at University of Naples Federico II (Italy) in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. A. D’Anna. During her PhD program, she spent three months at the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES) under the supervision of Prof. M. Kraft. The focus of her doctoral studies was the soot nanoparticle formation in flames using molecular dynamics. She joined the CoMo group in 2017 as a postdoctoral researcher. Her main research interests are in the field of combustion, in particular with regard to the investigation of the complex mechanism that lead to nanoparticle formation during combustion processes using computational methods.Research Themes
