A number of fully funded positions for home/EU students are available in the Computational Modelling (CoMo) group in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Cambridge. The group currently consists of 24 PhD students and postdocs from various backgrounds (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering etc.) and closely collaborates with leading academic research groups and industry.

The CoMo group develops and applies modern numerical and experimental methods to problems arising in the automotive and chemical industries. Our mission is to help develop the next generation of fuels, energy technologies and chemical products. However, current modelling practices, e.g. over-determined systems and parametric fits without accounting for uncertainties etc., yield poor predictive power and robustness.

We are looking for talented and motivated students to join our efforts to develop novel approaches to scientific computing. Please contact Jethro Akroyd for more information.
