PhD Studentship Available

12 May 2010

Figure for Preprint 96 We anticipate a fully-funded PhD studentship sponsored by Huntsman Tioxide to become available in the Computational Modelling Group, Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.

In this project we want to understand the formation of titanium dioxide nanoparticles using computational quantum chemistry, kinetic Monte Carlo and stochastic particle methods. The particles are formed, as many other important functional nanoparticles, through flame synthesis. We have considerable expertise in this area and there will be excellent supervision available to get the project started.

The Computational Modelling group currently has members from various backgrounds including Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering.

If you have an excellent academic track record and are interested to work in the CoMo group then get in touch to find out more. Funds are limited to home/EU students
