Christmas has come a few days early for two members of the computational modelling group, who both passed their PhD vivas in the last week. Mike Goodson started his PhD in the Computational Modelling Group in 2000 and, for the last three years, was the teaching fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering. He is now teaching at the Perse school and took his PhD viva on Thursday 20th December, 2007. The following day, Matthew Celnik - who started his PhD in the group in 2004 - passed his viva with a PhD entitled 'On the Numerical Simulation of Soot and Carbon Nano-tube Formation'. Matthew will be staying on in the group as a post-doctorial worker.
